I consider myself a decent sniper, but when I go into Crucible, I'm wrecked beyond belief. There are guys who headshot me the very second they scope in. It's -blam!-ing ridiculous! I don't understand how they do it!
EDIT: A lot of people are saying that they get their skill from Halo. However, I actually snipe very well in Halo, but not-so-well in Destiny.

Aim down sights, look at where your reticule is and then put a little bit of blu tac on your screen at that point. No more aiming down sights :)
-
Practice.
-
Final round perk makes any hit with a snipe kill you

I was over at a guys house who showed me a very cheap way. He cut a small red circle from the plastic wrapper on a coke bottle, and glued it to his target snipe point. He could get very close to your crit before aiming as there was a red translucent dot on his tv. He also had a modded controller with quick scope buttons.
-
I played a lot of CoD plus Destiny has a ton of aim assist.
-
Part of it is instinctively aiming towards the head every time you aim; it needs to the point you aren't even thinking of where you are aiming.
-
Practice practice practice
also learn to drag shot, If you're not sure what that is YouTube it
-
Just lead the target, I'm awesome with head shots in crucible with my icebreaker. and like the other greats, I owe my skills to halo
-
Practice.
-
Because you're just standing there begging to get your head blown off.

Edited by Juanson TNL: 6/14/2015 12:30:29 AMIts all in the trigger finger Edit: all you have to do is believe when i snipe i scope in and pull its either the first or second shot they go down just be confident
-
Honestly I just think it's good reaction time. I run the map and look for people. Once I see them I can scope and pop them in less than a second. I'm so fast because I've done it for years and it's muscle memory.
-
The fact that I can snipe decently in Destiny (and can't snipe for shit in other games) makes me fear people who can actually snipe lol
-
Knowing terrain and setting the reticle where heads will be is biggest thing
-
Practice makes perfect :)
-
Aim assist plus fast reflexes
-
Cause I'm too good

Edited by BACTERIA SOUR: 6/14/2015 12:03:40 AMI was terrible at it. Just got the feel for it and now have head markers (a reference point to set my sight head level) on most maps. Edit: a good trick is to watch your teammates off in the distance and set your sight at their head level. Perfect headshot every time.

It's called Praedyth's Revenge or Efredeet's Spear.

Edited by Loyal Au Mort : 6/13/2015 11:09:29 PMCompleting the Thorn Bounty as a Hunter *shudders*. My void LDR and I became very close. I should also add that I am the worst user of a shotgun in the history of the game. Rather than have a shotgun equipped, I would be better off collecting slugs and throwing them at Guardians while calling them names.

i dont get into my grove untill i get twitchy then i kill people like crazy, i guess it just depends on the person
-
I get my skill from halo only cuz the reticles are like the same maybe mess with the sensitivity

Edited by One Death, Lord Of Xibalba: 6/13/2015 11:55:58 PMDepends on your anxiety levels. My buddy can't snipe for shizzle because he gets all nervous to even take a shot at the enemy. Theres only a small chance for error. Use your sorroundings and knowledge of the map to understand combat situations to your advantage. Black hammer >Ice Breaker 👈

The basic idea here is to aim down the sight before your opponent, usually it's the one who shot first.
