You're application of rules 3 & 7 to the guns in Destiny is facile at best but more likely a bad case of pedantry on your part.
Pedantry is the last refuge of the witless, my friend.
I'd also point out that the article you linked relates to sci-fi and not scif-fi fantasy...
Magical powers like telepathy, visions of the future or communication with the dead are not scientific and not Science Fiction, and they should be classified as Fantasy.
A science fiction story needs to be scientifically real. There must be an element that leads the reader to think, “Yes, this is possible”.
That bit of rule three kind of shows you shouldn't be applying your "rules" to Destiny.

The guns are apart of sci fi. The "space magic" is apart of fantasy. The existence of fantasy does not excuse the existence of bad sci fi. You're being obtuse.
-
The game is sci-fi fantasy, everything in it is a part of sci-fi fantasy.

Dude, that applies to logic rather than critique of a video game...

Edited by The Dark Hadou: 6/1/2015 3:14:05 PMThe logical fallacy you linked isn't relevant to the point in issue. If you think it is, i really can't help you understand as you're obviously some pseudo-intellectual who thinks linking logical fallacies proves his point. Also, google the chiappa rhino to see how wrong you are :)

It is absolutely relevant to the point you were trying to make. Fantasy and sci-fi are two separate things. Elements from both can exist within the same medium, but they're not mutually inclusive when they both inhabit that same medium.
The game is sci-fi fantasy, everything in it is a part of sci-fi fantasy.
That is one of the most fallacious statements I've seen someone make in this topic.
-
Sci fi fantasy is its own genre... Also, google the chiappa rhino to see how your original point is kind of moot anyway.
-
Chiappa Rhino has a false hammer. The animations in Destiny do not imply this. the Rhino is irrelevant. Also, sci fi/fantasy is not its own genre. It's the merging of two genres within one. That's like saying horror/comedy is its own genre. Considering it its own genre would be the same as considering sci fi/fantasy/drama/action its own genre. It just doesn't work that way.

Edited by The Dark Hadou: 6/1/2015 5:22:02 PMAs posted by someone else:
It isn't false, it doesn't hit primers, true, but it activates linkages. Have you seen the hammer on destiny guns have a firing pin and actually hit a primer? Well, jackass, have you? Nope. Because the game doesn't give you that much detail. Again, linkages, just like the rhino
Even if that weren't true, it's not beyond the bounds of scientific possibilty that, in the distant future, they won't have bottom chamber firing guns that don't have a false hammer. Also, sci-fi fantasy, otherwise know as science fantasy, has been a genre in its own right for decades. You need to learn to google this shit before talking out of your arse. You strike me as the sort of person who can't admit when they're wrong, and no doubt will resort to arguing semnatics or further pedantry (seeing as how that's all the OP really was), so I'm going to leave it at this.
-
I'm glad you're leaving. It saves me from having to reiterate why you're wrong for the dozenth time...
