You an others like you are archiving nothing by bashing on Destiny's story. Yes, we know it's lacking. Yes, we know many other game have other stories. However, we forget about that and simply have fun until trolls like you crawl into the forums. So please, stop doing this. It's unnecessary, immature, and simply annoying.

I have to agree with the fact that Destiny is still lacking in story... Where I disagree is that the expansions aren't getting better. HOW is IMO a huge step up in content from TDB. In addition, I feel like the quality of that content (not just the cutscenes and story, but little things like icon fidelity, quality of life changes, etc...) were much better in HOW. Having not played Witcher 3 I can't really confirm if one quest has more story than Destiny. I can say what used to be considered "story" in a traditional game (cutscenes, distinct level changes, linear progression and single paths through a game) are quickly being replaced by the thought of on-going story and a player "choosing their path" (kind of like those old RL Stine kids books). You can see this "choose your own path" mentality in the many posts in this forum alone where PVE players complain about being forced to complete PVP content (and to less of an extent the other way around). I think they will keep improving the content over the years, and given the step up HOW is from TDB, my hope is that the lessons they're learning with their first foray into the MMO space will continue to become more inline with the players desires. Only time will tell..

8 RepliesAre people still trying to act like Destiny needs a story? I don't think anyone who continues to play Destiny, or anyone for that matter, bought Destiny for the story. The Witcher does have more story and lore in the game, but that's not what everyone looks for in a game.
