I really do like your post PROTOTYPE, but you always have to consider the other side of the argument. Why shouldn't Xur sell it? Really the only reason I am still playing this game is to get Ghorn. If Xur sold it, then I would put this game down for a while until HoW is released in May. I myself probably wouldn't get too excited about getting the Ghorn in a drop because I feel I deserve it and the drop should have happened a long time ago. However, if someone gets Ghorn too early then they won't fully appreciate how much easier it makes the game when you get into sticking points.
However, I digress. It is funny to me how "touchy" everyone is with their guns and their gun preferences. I think the Necrochasm sucks and I know other people who love it. I honestly love my Truth and have seen it do some amazing things in regards to tracking and wiping out a whole team on PvP in one shot due to blast radius. I was in a lobby the other day and "accused" the people in my lobby who had Ghorn to be bad players and the RNG gods were giving them Ghorn to make up for their lack of skill. When I said it, I was simply looking for a predicted reaction, and that reaction occurred. Every single person in that lobby flipped shit. People are so touchy about their guns they can't even take a joke.

There are many other things you can do in the meantime: Get all exotics- I have all but lucky raspberry Get all raid weapoons- I have all but praetorian foil Get all raid armor- I regret deleting all of my vog gear and upgrades will soon be available for it so I will try to get them all again Grimoire score- started that but got boring Level up factions- currently doing dead orbit Help noobs- I do this often Etc etc The point is that there are many other things to do. We did it on normal but now we want to do it on hard, but I cannot get the damage output we need to get crota down with just the two of us. I do not care about most of the raid weapons except for a few, and with the amount of times I have been through CE I have the entire raid set. I don't care about PvP because I have Walmart Midwest American internet that is complete shit and holds me back from actually being able to play competitively. I am only playing this game for PvE, not PvP. I could care less about PvP because of the massive amounts of problems there are with it.

Fun fact- a full truth magazine does more damage than a full gjallarhorn magazine.

Ahh I see. Do you or him bear the sword? And lol tell him he needs to be more open minded! A guy soloed crota normal with a legendary machine gun. Anything is possible.

We did it on normal with me as a warlock with fusion grenade with burn and he shot Crota with first half of a clip of his primary and two HoC rockets to get Crota down. I am sure we could get it without Ghorn, but my buddy is already burnt out of Destiny because he has been playing since release and still doesn't have one and is tired of the repetitiveness and crappy RNG drops. It has really worn him down, so he isn't really down to put a lot of practice in killing Crota on hard. :/

I understand that. I got mine after 520 hours. You guys will both get yours soon. Do you both have truth? If so, go to the rock, drop the sword, have him shoot 3(that is what a truth mag can do) as you shoot 3, pick up the sword, and that should be more than enough to get him down. It is all up to your swordbearing skills from there. If you dont have truth, do the same thing but with 2 HoC shots each. That should do the trick. If he just doesn't want to do it, I am sorry and would happy to try it with you if you are on xbox one.
