This thread is for anyone who needs help or want's to just chat about Dark Souls 2 in any way shape or form!
If your new to the soul series
The DS series are games that literally warn you "prepare to die". They are challenging games that will make you think in a different way than other games as well as possibly making you cry(lolz). There is no map, you are on your own trying to figure out where to go, while learning mob/boss move sets, llvling up and progressing through the game. In DS2 there are many different weps and spells to use for many varieties of play styles. All in all if you don't end up raging it is a fantastic game that will give you many hours of play time!
If you played the original
DS2 SOTFS will make you fall in love with the game yet again. Their are new mob/Chest/Item placements. All 3 DLCs are included with the game. You can have up to 6 players in one session(perfect for fight clubs). More NPCs to summon, to help you in your world. And more of what we all love, petrified statues in random places. Definitely many hours of gameplay to relive yet again.
-
Should I buy this game? I'm deciding between it and shadow of mordor, I've finished bloodborne
-
I'm looking for a unique, possibly rare weapon to use in dark souls 2. Preferably a good weapon also. I'm thinking about using the forlorn scythe. Any ideas?
-
Should I infuse the bone fist with fire or leave it how it is? And should I infuse the claw with bleed or leave it how it is? And what do they scale in if I infuse them?

infamous second son

Can someone please tell me the soft caps for vigor, endurance and vitality, and dex. I wanna know when it would be best to stop leveling those stats.

Does anyone know any good weapons to dual wield with my swordsman? I'm early on in the game (trying to beat the pursuer) and I'm using dual falchions. I'm hoping to get some blacksteel katanas as soon as I get to iron keep but that might be awhile.
-
I know this is a very noob-ish question however I just got the game about a day ago, so what do the human effigies do? And how are they of any importance? and I'm looking for a co-op covenant so should I join the way of the blue or become a sunbro later on Ps- I'm trying to go in blind but I'm super confused
its a lot different from Bloodborne, A LOT
I'm on ng+10 and I swear fume knight is impossible

Is the armor of aurorous good? I'm currently lvl 61 and have the merchant chest piece, and the rest is what you start with as a warrior. So will it be worth getting?
-
I know this is a bit dumb but when I have 2 soul vessels again I want to try a hex build... Currently a heavy knight build (way diff I kno) but once I am high enough lvl I'd like to try full hex ad miracle build. Waiting until high lvl because I don't trust low lvl hex. Is it strong or worth the vessels? Or should I start a new gave but then it would be harder

Can anyone help me with the smelter demon? Soul memory is 637842 and my soul level 87. I'm on Xbox one.

So this question is for faith build veterans, I'm currently using a katana for my pvp weapon but I am in need of a pve weapon that I can use, the two options I've given myself are the defenders greatsword and the thorned greatsword, I am fond of greatswords as it use to be all I used but I have recently come to love the katana moveset and they are excellent for pvp, I was just wanting some suggestions to see which weapon I should choose, I am a dark souls veteran but I am new to faith builds

Edited by Ducky7049: 5/3/2015 2:42:49 AMI'm fairly new to the souls series and I'm wondering what weapons are good for a swordsman to use? I'm only a little way into the game so that would probably limit the weapons I can get
-
Edited by BRUTE196: 5/3/2015 1:25:49 AMWhen and what order should I do the dlc in. Also I decided I wanted to use fist weapons, so which ones are the best? I was thinking about using the bone fist ones with the hoduken move.
-
I'm using the hiede knight sword and was wondering if the lightning damage would increase if I added points to faith?
-
Where's the great sword at? I couldn't find it in no mans wharf same with the protection ring

Anyone know the new areas for Pate/Creigh?
-
What are people's thoughts on paladin type builds? Seems like a decent play style that I'm willing to try

I'm a lvl 36 warrior with a bastard sword. Lit the bonfire next to the lady who sells firebombs and there's a ladder with a giant fire lizard thing. I went up that tree branch into the fort and was wondering if there's a bonfire near me. Oh and yeah WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT GIANT FREAKING EAGLE WITH THE KNIGHT WHO SHREKT MY WORLD xD
-
Any tips for the fort area where you climb down the ladder next to the old lady and the bonfire and then go up the tree and past the turtle thing and climb down. I'm currently lvl 36

Anyone around 500k soul memory wanna help me with the chariot horse?

Hi all, I'm taking my time through the game, I'm currently just about to enter Drangleic Castle. I had decided to try a dark melee/hex kind of character (as I'd previously never tried hexes at all on the Xbox 360), but I'm finding that my damage output isn't great - pretty noticeable when trying to kill the dwarf chaps who guard the main door to the castle. I'm currently level 97 with VGR 15 END 15 VIT 6 ATN 20 STR 16 DEX 16 ADP 6 INT 28 FTH 28 I'm using Hexer's Hood with Lion Mage everything else (mostly) and have two main melee weapons - a Dark Shotel (+4) and a Dark Mace (+1). I understand that my weapons should be levelled up a bit more, but I wanted to see if my build is viable for PvE (not too bothered with PvP much) and the DLC areas before I commit many souls to levelling my gear further. I do use Hexes as well (with a Sunset Staff and Witchtree Bellvine) but I want to dish out a bit more melee damage if possible. I'm not well-read on various builds or advantages/disadvantages of weapons so any advice is welcome! Thanks.
