This thread is for anyone who needs help or want's to just chat about Dark Souls 2 in any way shape or form!
If your new to the soul series
The DS series are games that literally warn you "prepare to die". They are challenging games that will make you think in a different way than other games as well as possibly making you cry(lolz). There is no map, you are on your own trying to figure out where to go, while learning mob/boss move sets, llvling up and progressing through the game. In DS2 there are many different weps and spells to use for many varieties of play styles. All in all if you don't end up raging it is a fantastic game that will give you many hours of play time!
If you played the original
DS2 SOTFS will make you fall in love with the game yet again. Their are new mob/Chest/Item placements. All 3 DLCs are included with the game. You can have up to 6 players in one session(perfect for fight clubs). More NPCs to summon, to help you in your world. And more of what we all love, petrified statues in random places. Definitely many hours of gameplay to relive yet again.
How to connect to other players online-

I'm still early in the game (just finished No Man's Wharf, but I beat the Lost Bastille beforehand), so I was wondering what spots are good for online play? Either pvp or placing my summon sign? Also, it would be appreciated if someone can explain to me how matchmaking is done for DSII:SOTFS. Thanks!

I would like to reopen this thread because I'm torn between this and eso. I come from call of duty and destiny, would I even enjoy eso? This seems like a better fit me and my buddy are getting a new game to play together tonight this sounds like it might be it. So no story mode?

This is mainly DS1, I can't do the kicking or jump attacks on purpose. The tutorial just told me LS + RB or RT but that's just moving and slashing. I have trouble with it in both games and it really makes me feel stupid.
-
The mirror knight or whatever it's called is ridiculous for a strengthy build first play through, but the final boss is easy, why is that
-
at the iron keep now, And I know the smelter demon and old Iron king are here, is the smelter required to progress? I might just beat the iron king and come back for smelter if that's the case

THIS JUST HAPPENED
-
Just rekt Elana the squalor queen. Damn that was intense.

Any tips for the lost sinner? He's rekting me

Edited by OuroborosWrath: 6/7/2015 2:38:20 PMI've put literally 150 hrs into DS2 SOTFS and the only boss that's left is the boss in the Pilgrim of the Dark areas. DARKSIDER I believe his name is. I even farmed the 4 lord souls haha

The Cathedral of Blue seems pretty useless, is there anything other than that lonely bonfire? Why would you ever go there? They put bonfires every few feet in this game, they should really cut down on the amount next time.

A fun glitch on the Moon if your bored http://youtu.be/naBYqahMgi8

Is there any way for me to get two murukamos (I think that's how you spell it) in NG?

Edited by M1DN1T3Marauder: 5/30/2015 5:34:33 AMI just got the sun sword, is it actually useless? Edit- Also does the sun ring actually do anything when you wear it?

I recently purchased Dark Souls 2, it's my first Souls game. I've so far defeated The Last Giant, Dragonrider, The Pursuer and the guy with two body's on the boat. I'm stuck on the boss called The Lost Sinner if I remember correctly, I also haven't figured out how to move those statues yet.

Can some one tell me how to get to the lowest bonfire in the gutter? I have the highest bonfire and the middle one but i can't find the lower one

Edited by Harbinger: 5/21/2015 8:43:18 PMJust made it to Aava the Kings Pet for the first time. Got wrecked. Only had time for 1 try. Hopefully there's some strategy I missed on the first go, because I got maybe two hits in before I was dead. These dlc bosses don't -blam!- around. Much harder than the base game.
-
I'm planning on using hexes with my dual wield character to give it a go. I'm wondering if this will be very good or a useless build
-
Also, the Puzzling Stone Sword is awesome af. So cool. Nobody expects it in PvP.
-
I would pay fuqing millions for a copy of Dark Souls 2 WITHOUT THE -blam!-ING SPITTING STATUES!!!
-
I just killed Freja, where should I go next? And please, please don't tell me I have to fight the rat authority or whatever, I can't even kill it's minions before I get destroyed, if I eat moss then I get rekt, but if I run then I'm still poisoned.

Edited by Harbinger: 5/19/2015 5:40:52 AM-blam!- the Fume Knight and -blam!- the blue Smelter Demon. That is all. Easily the 2 hardest bosses I've come across yet. Much harder than anything in vanilla DSII.
-
I'm planning to do a faith/strength play through using an ultra great sword as my main weapon and sunlight blade as one of my miracles. I was wondering what ultra great sword you guys recommend I should use. I'm leaning towards the black knight ultra great sword since it has good damage and a great move set, plus you can use sunlight blade on it.

Edited by Faliz18: 5/30/2015 12:06:02 AMAfter doing all the DLCs I just went to NG+ Masterless Glencour is a -blam!-ing beast I have 98 human effigies and I can't even get a lot of these chests now lol.
