Pt III: The Spider
In a whoosh, throwing knives flew to the heads of many Fallen, quiet and secretive. There was no evidence the Fallen took notice until the crack of a Golden Gun activating rung through the chamber. Fallen hordes, now turned, were burned through with an arrow of flame, a bullet from the sun itself. Two shots rang, and then the third landed on the Kell’s right arm, causing the Devil Kell to drop the Ghost and the Hunter. The figure, with eyes a million strong, or so it looked, gestured towards the open door and ushered the Guardian and his Ghost out.
The Kell’s voice filled the ship, roars of anger and hatred ringing through the ship’s speakers. The Fallen howled for their lord’s dishonor, and swarmed the two as the exited, trying to deal death to the two hunters, though the rescued was slow to move, wounds burning his mechanical innards. The duo moved as quick as they could, with the Argus-eyed huntsman dealing death to any and all Fallen that stood between them and the way out.
As the two ran out of the Ketch’s bay, the Fallen surged after. Several Skiffs jumped in from faster-than-light travel, and one of them flew in close, and then there was a clunk. Time seemed to slow down. Another clunk. Another. A whirring sound, and then an unlatching sound, and a large, bulbous vehicle dropped down.
The Walker slowly stood, and let out a machine cry, almost like a predator. The two hunters, one limping, one proud, hid in cover as the Walker’s heavy machine gun fired bullets of Arc at them with a speed that could make a Titan reconsider. Hiding behind a rock or a building or a tree or a Fallen crate, the rescuer moved with swift aggression, shooting the Walker in its legs as he went. The other Hunter, wounded and weak, was being repaired by his own weak Ghost, whose light had been diminished by the unspeakable acts inflicted upon his own Guardian. He defended his Guardian, zapping and ramming any Fallen that got near his protector. Though weak, the Ghost had faith, and with that faith he fought and lived so that the Light lived in his Guardian.
The crack of the Hunter’s Sniper, his Icebreaker, filled the wildlife, and then a Solar bullet penetrated the Walker’s front left leg, causing the mechanical brain to be exposed, to which the Hunter shot the rest of his sniper’s ammo at. The hunter raised his arm towards the stars, and with his light he drew power from the stars and shot. One, through the Walker’s cannon, causing an explosion. Two, through the walker’s backside and chassis, paralyzing the Walker. Three, through the mechanical heart, and the Walker exploded violently and sent pieces of Fallen metal in the air like iron hail.
The Hunter with the thousand eyes glowed, with the power of the sun’s rays itself, then returned to normal. He swiftly ran to the downed Hunter, and helped him onto his back. No Fallen dared leave the vehicle bay, but watched with hate and wished for the hydra-eyed Guardian demise. After walking up and over a hill, the air filled with fire and the Ketch raised from its slumber, and flew into the sky to other destinations. The Kell, scarred and burned, decided to have the two almost inoperable arms on his right side unamputated and kept in the damaged condition they were when he was shot, as a badge of dishonor, a sign he needs to be less foolhardy and exterminate the Light and claim the last stronghold of light, the City, as his throne.
The wounded Hunter awoke in a different place once more, this time in the Tower’s infirmary. Near the window stood a cloaked, noble figure who he had been saved by. He lifted his head, and saw the man’s helm was off, the head of a million eyes lying on the windowsill.
“Its name is the ATS/8 Arachnid. My name does not matter, I’m just some Hunter who just happened to be there to help. I’m aware you have many questions, but I’m afraid that I won’t have time to explain them all. Not right now at least.”

The Exo groaned in pain, and mumbled “W-what is your name? You’re h-helmet doesn’t make y-you a hero. You m-make yourself one.”
“Hmm… If you wish to know my name, then I’ll tell you. But first…” the Hunter turned to the Exo, and smiled, blonde hair covering a stern and strong face.
“Why don’t you tell me about yourself, Exo?”
Have a good Spring Break, Guardians.
