When you inspect the six man fireteam you're going up against and you see it coming before the match. 4+ defender Titans with Alpha Lupi and 1-2 golden gunning hunters.
What happens: Once all the Titans on the team have WoD bubble, they will go straight to the B zone. After stacking 4 armor bubbles on top of each other, the hunters walk through what is now an "unlimited super portal". Of course, the bubbles will build off of themselves so the orbs just keep coming. Meaning, yes, literally NON-STOP GG.
This has happened countless times in one iron banner to me. Now I just leave at the beginning if I suspect it.
The worst part is it turns any average player into a god for the time being. We were up 12k to 6k when they start cheating last night. Yes, it is cheating when you have a highly assisted OHK supercharged gun with at least 3 bullets all the time. Your argument is already invalid. Yes, a vortex nova bomb will clear the bubbles and so will FoH. The fact of the matter is it is extremely difficult to beat and I have yet to do so. I'm far from average in the crucible so when I can beat you, just take it haha
we lost
If you haven't been victim to this, I fear, it won't be long. It's obviously the "new thing to do" in the crucible. I know the original video from gigglemonster on YouTube is still there(if it's not the original, I don't care).
Why do people exploit this game to this extent? Do you report them? Do you use this method?
EDIT: much strategy, pls teach. Thanks to everyone who isn't hiding in an armor bubble with their other bubble buds
EDIT: someone mentioned tacking orbs out of pvp. I think it's a perfect solution to abusing the system. Earning your own super as opposed to being handed one for running through a bubble is a solid fix.

lol although in theory this sounds like a great strategy it only works if your opponents are noobs. I had this happen in only one match this week. Other team tried using this against us, warlocks ran in each time, nova bomb, bubbles destroyed, entire other team dead. They lost by 2000 points.
-
SRS if you use this your fireteam is bunch of pussies
-
Its not a cheese, soooo
-
I really don't see the issue with this. Yes you lost but how many times has it happened to you? I've never seen it myself except for videos.
-
Okay okay. I tried this with some friends and I saw a rather intuitive way this was countered by two hunters on the other team. They got there super, had vanish perk on, went invisible and both ran into the bubble and -blam!-ed everything up. It's counter able, just not gonna help you out for the rest of the match. The trick is to disrupt everything before it starts, you HAVE to be aggressive and never let the team group up. This strategy beat my team that used this coordinated super strategy.
-
It's not a cheese, it's a strategy, and a well placed nova bomb will take care of the problem.
-
Everyone else saves the supers and takes them out, problem solved. This happened in one match I was in, it turned into a massacre and once they die their orbs disappear for them to pick up so they can't do it again for awhile.
-
You think it's a cheese cause you got burnt by it. It's just a good strategy that has developed. Be a good guardian and Titan Smash that shit to oblivion.
-
Its a good strat
-
The reason why it hasn't been fixed is because it isn't a cheat, it's a technique. Also, the bubble is extremely weak. like you said, it is able to be popped by three other supers, and blade dancer doesn't have a huge problem getting in and killing. This technique makes up for it.
-
No, orbs are a solid part of the game This isn't a cheese at all. Its simple strats that have -blam!-ed you over. I've never come across this in 5 days of crucible game time. It's rare as its hard to pull off and co-ordinate Want a mop for your tears oP?
-
Not "cheesing" it's called teamwork
-
"Destiny, where casuals need to cheese everything." And lol at this being a strat. Stacking and abusing perks that the novice Devs. Missed makes anyone defending this look even dumber. They are there for PvE and yet got overlooked for PvP. Nerf will come. "Strat" lmao.

All aboard the super train whoot whoot!
-
Been playing ib all week and haven't ever seen this, sounds awesome though
-
The real question should be.... why arnt you doing this? Its very smart
-
It's not a cheese its a strategy using the perks the armour gives
-
I see a lot of comments of people saying something along the lines of "get a team and counter that strategy." Im not saying it can't be done but are there any videos of people actually accomplishing this? It looks awfully difficult to counter. Has anyone countered this successful? And if so how have you gone about doing it?
-
Because Stilton
-
I just wouldn't go near it. Take the other two points. Problem solved.
-
people play it how they see fit. its not an exploit just clever teamwork. stop being a little bitch and man up
-
I got to rank 4 in iron banner and never saw it once.

Edited by DISN: 3/23/2015 4:17:30 PMQuick question: Why are you guys running to B? Just try to hold A and C. Though I agree that Golden Gun, with its amazing aim-assist and 0hko capabilities, would probably ruin that plan.
-
We (Clanmates) met a team doing that last night. Got the lead and sniped them.

Earning your own super as opposed to being handed one for running through a bubble is a solid fix.
I don't play destiny PvP but it sounds less like cheating and more like a clever use of supers. You remind me of those guys who used to whine about people spamming the jump button in mortal kombat, but they were simply using the jump button the devs put in front of them. Just make an adjustment and if you're good enough you can get the upper hand. It is silly to try and put ruels on war that go beyond the constraints of reality. If someone is trying to kill me, and i throw salt in his eyes, why should I care when he says it was cheap? They found a way to win. Your options appear to be a) find a way to counter. Or b) accept defeat and play a different game. We all can only use the tools the devs gave us and you can't get mad when someone uses them in a way that isn't the same as yours. Well you can, but it's weak.

Edited by Canuckian01: 3/23/2015 3:29:21 PMTo everyone saying that you can just fist of havoc the bubble. You would not get close enough. Nova bomb might get a couple of kills, but their whole team has supers charged and the bubbles are separated somewhat, so it wouldn't matter. And controlling the other 2 zones doesn't help. The hunters will just find you and golden gun you. I'm all for teamwork and strategy, and believe that a coordinated team should be rewarded. But a team of 6 decent players using this strategy will beat a team of MLG pro players 99% of the time. If a team uses this tactic and loses, it is because they are awful at this game, not because the other team was so good. Side note: I have never been against a team that tried this, but I have seen it on YouTube and perfectly understand how it works and how unstoppable it can be.
