Wont happen and cant for the each console is different. the next gen consoles are different in how they store and use data compared to the last gen consoles so it cannot happen.

No I am not wrong, xbox 360 is not compatible with the X1 because of console design difference on how the memory in the console is used. And the same is true with the ps3 and ps4. And the ps and xbox are different and cannot share data between to two because they both use different os's and are not compatible with each other.

World of tanks does not do cross gen, it is played on both but cannot match players against each other from different consoles. I know for I do play the game and all players in a match are either from one console or the other. there is no psn vs xbox on world of tanks or xbox vs pc. so no was not served and it is the same with other games. they wont ever do it because teh pc will beat the console hands down for precision and control and the fact that the pc allows mods where the console does not.
