They follow the same set of "rules" change in a species. Micro evolution involves little change in a species in a small amount of time. Macro evolution is the exact same thing but over millions of years in most cases. In this much greater amount of time, the end result will be much different.

I know this that's why I was correcting your original statement. But you talk as if there are more similarities are between them that aren't there. Like macro evolution is an extreme change over an insane amount of time that can result in a new species. While micro is usually unnoticeable changes because they are so small but act quicker.
