The only requirement for making the Crux drop, is being on a fireteam that kills Crota on hard mode.

You have to have beat it once with the character. Shader doesn't matter and I've seen people get the crux without having got any husk of the pit.

Finally someone with brains. Thank god. I have 3 didn't have shader or anything else when I got them all was pure luck
