You have some really good ideas there but there are a few issues with some of them.
First, I think that the Hunter's subclass doesn't really match with the Destiny universe... Otherwise it's pretty original and could be fun to play. What more I don't really like playing as a Hunter (even if I've got one) because i'm more of a pve player and I find that Hunter subclasses are rather designed for Pvp. And it feels like your idea Is once again built for Pvp. I would really enjoy if the New Hunter subclass was as useful as the resurrection or the bubble in pve.
And i'm Just noooooot ok with your idea of the Warlocks third subclass. The only fact that you can't move makes this super useless. And for the additionnal effects... I find them far too weak. I would rather see some kind of thunderstorm and lightnings coming straight to the user, and dealing massive damage to all nearby enemies (but it seems too similar to the fist of havoc, I admit), or a thunder Ball that the warlock summons in front of him, and that act like a défensive turret. I also thought about a healing subclass, that would be super cool :)

ARE YOU STUPID? Look at the upgrade "Hurricane"
-
First of all please don't treat me like i'm analphabetic. So yes I saw this upgrade but as I said, I'm not ok with the additionnal effects either. What more, I think that you would need to adjust perfectly the speed of the "hurricane" because if it's too slow it would be crap and if it 's too quick Then it would be overpowered.

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/15/2015 6:09:08 PMIt's just basic walking speed, making it essentially another golden gun but a bit weaker and closer ranged unless you perk specifically for super efficiency. Then you'd want Javelin, Hurricane, and Wind Chamber. That way you could nail in those precision melee attacks and get some good kills. Personally I'd spec with Eye of the Storm and Battery Pack, set up camp and deny any trespassers by glaring off their super and zapping their faces.
-
Yeah, you're right... I still think there are things that needs to change but you definitly convinced me ;D
-
I still have a couple perks to add in. Any suggestions? Each subclass still needs that Finale perk which is the last unlocked and will most likely involve the super. Keep in mind the other perks in same row. You want to be able to mix and match perks. What perk would make the Arc Warlock fun for you to use? I'll try to help make the class fit players who feel like its missing that certain something. Note: if it's the Finale Perk, make it worth being the last to unlock. ( I haven't put in any Finale perks into any subclass yet)

In fact for my playstyle I would only use this super in Pvp or in lower levels strikes. The only way for me to play with a super in same levels strikes or raids Is that this super has got a support role. For example I would never use nova bomb in nightfalls :) In fact if you do find an improvement to this subclass to make it Just a LITTLE bit more useful for the whole team, I would probably play with it! And we have to remember that we'll never get the last word, Bungie has probably their own ideas So we have about absolutely no chance to see one of the community's ideas come true x)
-
Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/15/2015 6:50:48 PMI use Novabomb on Voidburn missions. You don't need to self Revive if you don't Die. But yes, support roles are better for PvE so you'll still be using Defender and Sunsinger. P.S. You said The Last Word which really threw me off lol. I'll make a support perk to help it out.
-
I realized the thing with "the last word" Just when I finished writing x)
-
True, true....
-
Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/15/2015 5:11:58 PMWarlock needs a melee role as Sunsinger fits the Support Role. Sorry if you can't shock teammates back to life. It's hardly close to the Striker but yes, it shares the exact same Arc/Close-Ranged role. The Warlock is missing a close-ranged role and is missing arc. So put two and two together.
-
Alright, I give up with the idea of healing. But PLEASE. Find another Super Charged
-
Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/15/2015 5:20:28 PMI will consider, I'll have to make a poll for players to vote on. First, I need competing Ideas. Which I have none yet. There's not a whole lot you can do without making it shoot lightning and without it becoming similar to existing subclasses.
-
True :) The very First rumor about the warlock's third subclass was the lightning orb acting like a défensive turret. And even if it doesn't really match with my playstyle I really enjoyed that idea :)
-
Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/15/2015 5:40:40 PMOoh I really didn't like the "leaked" versions. Summoning a Ball didn't feel very super worthy in combat. You summon it, then move around a bit until you die which causes the ball to disappear. And why a ball? Why not a storm cloud. Idk, seemed very avoidable for a super. I'll tell you one idea I liked, someone was saying how the warlock super would create a clone of himself which could deal damage too. Just heard that in YouTube yesterday. Pretty much fits the role actually.
-
Then the clone could only deal "close range" damage but effectivly it seems super cool :0

Edited by AdversusElitus: 3/15/2015 4:38:41 PMThe Hunter Subclass in this post is perfectly built for PVE gameplay. The idea of causing multiple enemies to take more damage is perfect for a support class when an entire raid team is surrounded. Also, the melee ability is akin to the Deathmark ability that Zero had in Borderlands 2 which was extremely useful when singling out stronger targets like Crota and Atheon, or any of the strike bosses. Also, using your Ghost to shine it's light at enemies to weaken them perfectly fits the game's lore as it perfectly represents the struggle between darkness and light. Our end goal as Guardians is to use the light provided by the Travel to wipe out the darkness.

Thank you.

I have to admit that it could be useful, but for me, the Best "supports" supers are not the ones which deal damage, they're the ones that gives your allies some shield, some protection (bubble) or that can be used to get out of difficult situations (radiance). So I would rather use the bladedancer and his ability to become invisible than use something that can't directly help my fireteam. I perfectly understand your PoV, and I guess everyone plays differently but i'm one of those guys Who Just dont give a Shit about dealing massive damage :)
