It all began in the Vault of Glass, where less skilled Warlock Guardians where able to use their abilities to exploit VOG bosses. This allowed them to compete with and outmatch the superior Hunter Race.
The Warlocks used their abilities to camouflage their lack of skill and saw an opportunity to claim the thrown as the Master Race. With their ability to self revive and push Atheon off of an edge, they redefined the definition of "skill."
They saw Titans as useful protection against enemy fire and used them as pawns to support their agenda. Since no killing or skill positions were no longer needed to defeat Atheon, the Hunters were no longer needed. It was a Warlock who announced the exile of Hunters... It was a Warlock who pushith thine Boss over the edge... It was a Warlock who cheesith thine Templar... Blameth the Warlocks...This is how The Great War began...
Ch. 2 The Truth...
As the great war continued between Hunters and Warlocks, the Titans coward behind the Warlocks in return for the glorious loot the Vault of Glass had to offer. Statistically, Hunters have always excelled far beyond any other class of Guardians but couldn't dismiss the false mark of shame set upon them by the Warlocks. No matter how much Grimoire the Warlock would acquire, he would never be as truly blessed as a Hunter and this infuriated Warlocks, adding more fuel to their flame.
During the midst of battle, a select group of Hunters and Warlocks alike, still continued to raid together regardless of class. This elite group of Guardian is known as the One Percentile. The One Percentile depended purely on skill and could execute any Raid mission with ease.
It was this group who truly understood the meaning of the war...
The Great War has been a battle between a lower level of Guardians who argue amongst themselves like peasant drunks fighting over a pale of wine. The Great War is nonsense in the eyes of The One Percentile. The main antagonists of the war were never credible enough to represent their entire Class but chose to do so in an ignorant manner and still continue to do so...
This pretty much sums it up

Warlock is master race. Best rounded all around character good for any situation
-
So this is hilarious and deserves a reward. Died laughing when i saw a chapter 2. Yes.

Quite enjoyed this, but titans didn't cower behind anyone, we just want to get shit done we don't care for a tit for tat master race battle
-
That's true, Titans just watch the fight lol
-
-
yep but look who's useless now, the warlocks
-
I think your narrative is far skewed. People didnt want hunters for VoG because plainly put, hunters in Hard Mode were useless. Their only value in VoG at all was golden gun on oracles, which in hard mode didn't even do enough damage. Then when CE came out, hunters dicks got all hard thinking they were now master race, because they were " selected " as the best swordbearer. Their egotistical dreams were crushed when every other class began using the sword not only sucessfully, but without the need of invisibility. Hunters are for PvP.

Hunters. Block the Templar teleport using invis. Clear supplicants with GG. -don't act like you haven't been killed by supplicants 1000000 times... A Hunter could of fixed that... Get through the Gorgon Maze easily... You're probably thinking this isn't a big deal but how many moons used to get spotted by oracles and ruin your game??? Easy Gatekeeper relic grab. Go in, kill the gate keeper, pop invis. When the VOG was actually hard, this was the best strategy.
-
You're probably right on the templar block part, however we never really wasted our time blocking him for a spirit bloom chest. Of course I died a ton in VoG. I did it a ton, and I did it from release day, which most of my deaths probably came from my first run, where we spent 5 hours alone learning the templar fight. Don't get me wrong, GG was great in Normal. It was relatively useless in HM. Supplicants were not a problem, most of the time it was failure to kill center on first portal that wiped a team in HM. As for relic grabbing on gate keeper, I started HM at 29, and we always used the double portal strategy. I found my warlock handy for this, as I could destroy the gatekeeper inside, and even if I died, fireborn back to life and snag the shield, running to victory. Fireborn had far more uses than invisibility did in VoG. There wasn't much value for hunters in HM VoG, thats why they wern't overly sought after. Titans were good epecially for helping a team. Warlocks could provide team assist with song of flame, as well as fireborn in HM to take more risks with when needed with the ability to come back to life. Once we hit 30, VoG was relatively simple. I didn't mind who I had in my group, providing they wern't useless. I'd take a hunter with nothing ability wise to add to the team but with great weapons over a titan or warlock that didn't have a clue what to do, especially once they made the teleport change. And no, warlocks are not " garbage now ". Clearly that guy missed the point that anyone can be swordbearer in CE.
