What causes tension between Hunters and Warlocks??
I've seen the 'floofing about' and 'we taught them to blink' statements on Warlock gear but is there more stuff in the Grimoire? Also, even without the grimoire, I see alot of back and forth between Warlocks and Hunters on a daily basis. Are Warlocks just jealous nerds, are Hunters just stuck up cool kids?
Edit 1: It's funny how the Titans just sit back with popcorn watching all this go down.
Edit 2: I'm seeing claims of sexual tension, very interesting stuff!

Edit 10 - It has been speculated that the 'squishy' floofy Warlocks are just pretending to be friends with the Titans just so they can use them as muscle against the Hunters.....the plot thickens

Well Hunter's think the have the most skill (im guilty of this) and Warlocks think they have the best class (all my warlock friends are guilty of this) so they are really fighting over which matters more a skilled player or a good class

I have both so I have no idea. It's also just a video game. I find it funny how people get more worked up about the "hunter vs warlocks" than racial/prejudice issues in real life

4 RepliesWarlocks got all uppity when they would cheese the VOG and claims that hunters were useless due to their inability to cheese effectively. Hunters got upset because they were rarely allowed and many LFG posts even stated no hunters allowed. Then CE came out and warlocks found that Hunters rocked in CE. Warlocks became upset because their claims are constantly being proven incorrect as hunters out kill them. Also warlocks claim to fame....the res ability is worthless at the end of CE.

I do find it dumb though when warlocks insult cloaks/butt towels etc because we're supposed to be the ones that understand the importance of and respect such things. Sounds like a dumb little detail but I find myself pretty particular about it, possibly because it paints the warlock as a class that's supposed to understand and respect his/her fellow guardians and their unique attributes. Together we stand strong and should look past all the petty junk. ...I do reserve my right to gripe about getting blade danced though

Every class has it's place but worlocks are mainly uses for cheesing it's not fair but until bungie decides to do something about it I'll exploit haveing one on my team for my own convinence

I do hop around like a bunny when playing with my hunter, my Titan mate that comes over and plays LAN with me always has a sook saying I steal all his kills because I'm too fast lol The only hate/tension I see for any class is on these forums, within the game everyone just plays it.

Most likely going to trick you. Titans = I can trust them. They can't sneak up on me and they rely more on brute strength then intelligence. They are also good at carrying stuff when you trick them :P

From what I've seen on here, the tension originally came from VoG. Warlocks were seen as essential, either for cheese ability or for res. Hunters were seen to be not needed, which quickly became unwelcome in many fire teams. That's where I saw most of the hate between them start, and the larger role hunters can play in CE didn't really balance all the rivalry out at all. Too little, too late and all.
