For those who don't believe in evolution...
It really isn't a debate, evolution is a fact. Its not subject to belief or disbelief, its reality. A scientific theory is a proven hypothesis. Evolution is a theory, just like Gravity, and Cells are "just a theory". Micro and Macro evolution are fake concepts invented by creationists in order to debunk it. Clearly, that did not work. Evolution has been directly observed in animals with short lifespans like fruit flies. If you are going to reject direct, peer reviewed observation, yet trust in the bible, or the Qur'an or any holy book. You are creating a double standard. The burden of proof is on us, and it has been met time and time again.

Edit: I'm gonna rewrite this post as I don't like the message it is portraying and some of the feedback it has received. I just don't personally like how it was wriited and the circumstances it was written in check back in a couple hours for the new one.

We share many common traits with animals such as apes, but if human evolution were a scientific fact there would be some, you know... science to back it up.

22 RepliesA. Gravity is a law, not a theory. B. Microevolution has been observed in nature, time and time again. C. There are at least 5, possibly more depending on who you are debating with, other types of evolution, including macroevolution which are still scientifically seen as hypotheses since they have never been seen occur in laboratory or field conditions. D. Science is not something to be handled by someone in an emotional state. It just becomes spittle and drivel coming out of an uninformed mouth. This is not meant to be offensive, it's an observation I have made as a scientist where when someone wants to fight so hard for a point that they ignore the empirical data and/or their own limits. 28 RepliesSay you have a Lego house. A fairly complex one, let's say 10000+ pieces. Say you take one piece off and replace it with another. You probably won't notice much of a difference. Any person who didn't make the change themselves probably wouldn't notice any change at all. Do that every day for 100 days. Now, the house you have is slightly different from the original. Do that every day for thousands of days, and the house will be significantly different. Do it for millions, and the house will be unrecognizable. That's how macro-evolution works.

3 RepliesOK I'm confused about evolution. What type of evolution are you talking about? The first law of thermodynamics says energy can't be created nor destroyed. I understand that evolution came from a singularly but I was reading an article last night and it said that they don't know where all of the energy came from. That is my problem...I'm not understanding where all of the energy came from...of it's not in violation of the first law then why is this law saying energy can't be created nor destroyed? The laws of the universe explain how the universe works. Like the second law, things tend to break down. Evolution is adding genetic information to the thing, but the second law contradicts it? I'm confused in understanding the logic. Can you explain?

Adam and Eve were the first humans, a result of God wanting to forge a species in the likeness of himself. They existed among nature, and thrived. Temptation soon got the best of them, though. They encountered a serpent, aka Lucifer or Satan or more commonly, the devil. He tempted them to disobey Gods command, in which they were asked to do nothing more than live their lives and to not eat from the apple tree. They ate from the tree and covered their naked selves in leaves and underbrush. God glanced on the world and asked why they were ashamed to be naked, for they disobeyed him. Thus the foundation of original sin occurred. Today, many theologians and atheists such as yourself believe in evolution. While it may be true to some point, there is a point that will be reached that you cannot explain. Such as how the very first single celled organisms were created or how the foundation of the entire universe occurred. It can only be explained by one thing. God. You think that God does not exist and that he serves only as an explanation to this, but trust me. God has worked miracles before my very eyes. My grandfather suffered from a heart attack on a Monday night about a year ago. I was struck with horror with the idea that he could possibly die. The feedback did not sound good, and I was worried. Suddenly, his heart rate jumped, he opened his eyes, and he breathed again. So while you may not believe in God, and I fully respect your opinion, do not go around telling others he does not exist. Let everyone decide for their own, maybe even you will believe someday.
