I've never lied about my cars. People will ask me "Oh is it fast?" "Is it a real GT-4?", etc and I always answer honestly. I've never seen any reason to lie. My guess is some lie to appear "cool" in front of their peers. But the whole thing is people know when you're lying. I've had people tell me they turboed their car or swapped the engine out when clearly it's a stock car and you can easily tell they have no idea what they're saying. I just don't get the point of lying about your cars. It makes zero sense to me.

My uncle tells me that his 2014 V6 Mustang is supercharged and makes 400 HP I asked him to pop the hood and show me where the supercharger was, and he went full spaghetti about his car after that.
