Do Athiests use the term, "Oh my God"?
Just curious. And how do you feel about Athiests who say it?
I'm Agnostic btw and I do use the term.

It's hard not to because you learn it naturally as part of the vernacular. It really doesn't carry any meaning. god is just a word not some magical entity that's going to go around smiting people.

Im a Agnostic, dont believe in god, and do it all the time. After i always feel a little dirty, and want a shower.

Sometimes I use it when I'm really frustrated, ill admit. It just seems like one of the first things to come out of my mouth when I'm pissed. How do I feel when other people use it? I think it feels kinda weird like anything they just said that was funny seems to have lost its effect because they felt it was necessary to say that.

Yup, I was raised around people using christian relgious stuff as curse words/phrases and just because I don't believe in God isn't going to stop me from using Oh My God or JESUS -Blam!-ING CHRIST which is a very good one.

1 ReplyI'm athiest and say "GOD", "goddamnit", "mother of god", "Jesus Christ" "Jesus mother-blam!-ing Christ" etc etc all the time. Those words are literally cuss/interjection words in my vocabulary.
