Vanguard Marks for completed Bounties?
New to the game, playing through my first few bounties on Patrol missions. When I look at bounty details in inventory it usually indicated an experience reward and a vanguard reward (e.g. +20, +10 etc...). I've completed 3 such bounties in the past week, and my Inventory shows that I still have 0 "vanguard marks".
Am I supposed to get "Vanguard Marks" from bounties and is that a glitch?
Or are these two different things? If so what are the Vanguard marks count in your Inventory screen (next to glimmer)? And what have I been getting from bounties? Note I seem to get the XP correctly.

Vanguard marks, vanguard reputation and experience are three different things. You only get xp and rep from bounties and get marks from public events, weekly strikes, daily mission and vanguard strike playlists.

Vanguard marks can only be received after you reach level 18 and are rewarded through playing and completing the daily mission, the ROC strike playlist, and the weekly heroic and nightfall strikes. Please note that you can only earn 100 vanguard marks and 100 crucible marks each week and hold a maximum of 200 of each at any given time. Hopefully this helps clear things up.
