1) I said "main deity" as in "God" not "a God"
2) The Devil is an idea that deals with "sinners" in most religions
3) Archangels are pretty high figures in at least a few more Religions
bringing religion into a video game is just stupid for any developer to think about doing.
I was addressing this in my original post. Religion is a main theme in many many many video games. Including Norse, Greek, Roman, and Christian. As well as Hindi and other native tribes.

Norse, Greek and Roman are now referred to as Mythology not Religion that's why they're accepted by a larger variety of people. Native tribes aren't religions that have such a big effect or popular culture because of each tribe having different ones and what are these christian games you speak of? are they mainstream games? and as I proved to you "Diablo" is not based on a single Religion :P

All the Diablo games (it is Christian Based regardless of what you are saying) Darksiders with the book of Revelation (all the series) , Dante's inferno (yeah it wasn't great but still), The Assassins Creed games mix both the Old Mythologies with the Christian Old Testiment and Creation story, need I go on?

Edited by Kopi_Snipes96: 2/20/2015 5:24:40 PMPlease explain how Diablo is simply Christian based Assassins Creed has one (can't remember which one) takes place during the crusades

Assassins creed theme running throughout is the idea of finding pieces of Eden, the apple, etc. Diablo is Christian based upon the heavens, the hell levels, purgatory, the existence of Baal, Diablo, among others. Archangels and the light (representative of God), While it does borrow from other faiths in parts the core of it is Christian religion. Explaining how it is christian based is kinda like explaining how the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is christian symbol, you would need a lot more time and effort than I want to put into a forum post.
