When I was young on St. Patrick's day my siblings and I would make leprechaun traps. We would make them out of shoeboxes and tape and we would put food in there as bait. One year my parents used erasers and ink to stamp little footprints onto my box and put a little metal leprechaun inside my box. I thought I had actually caught a leprechaun and it turned to metal. It was really cool and looking back I appreciate that they did that for me.
Have your parents ever done something like that for you in your childhood?
Edit: This really was supposed to be a happy thread but I should've known it was going to turn out this way.

Magical isn't a word to describe it. My mom always threw the best parties, and my dad always was able to convince my mom that I could play "violent" video games within reason (really though: Battlefront wasn't that bad of a game. For a 4/5 year old? Maybe. But it was pretty tame).
