Some people say they don't want VoG weapons upgraded because that was the old raid and it's the easier raid (which it isn't), and that it's for the lower level raid. I understand. So why not have an item, the Oversoul Essense, that drops similarly to Crux of Crota (But with better drop rates). You have this item and any 300 damage gun can be upgraded with it via an upgrade available under the damage type (as if you already had the upgrade, in that first column) and it upgrades just like the Husk/Necro, cept with this Oversoul Essense. Spend the Oversoul Essense, and get an upgraded gun at 300/331 damage. PS: If you vote, BUMP!
